Sportsguards
Sportsguards are custom made to maximize protection for your teeth during
high impact activities. If your participate in sporting activities such as
football, hockey, soccer, or karate, etc... You need a sportsguard to
protect your teeth from traumatic injury. Sportsguards are made out
of a plastic material that is very comfortable to wear and customized to fit
your mouth. They come in a wide variety of colors.
Procedure
- During the first visit Dr. Dapice takes a mold of the maxillary
or top arch.
- The mold is then sent to a laboratory to construct your sportsguard.
- A short second visit to the dental office is
necessary to properly adjust the sportsguard for a comfortable
fit.
